As with Christ Presented to the People, (Museum of Fine Arts Ghent, inv. 1988-C), Christ’s Entry into Jerusalem makes up a part of the series The Aureoles of Christ.

Old Lady with Masks

Old Lady with Masks is painted at the highpoint of Ensor’s so-called fantastic period, also indeed called his mask period. Originally the artist made the painting on assignment.
