International colloquium James Ensor

Thursday 24th February 2011

Organised by the Museum of Fine Arts, Ghent and the Flemish Art Collection in collaboration with S.M.A.K. and FARO

The exhibition Hareng Saur: Ensor and Contemporary Art is the final part of a series of recent events and exhibitions that have taken place to mark the 150th anniversary of James Ensor’s birth (1860) and the 60th anniversary of the artists death (1949).
