New web publication Ensor

Ensor expert, Xavier Tricot, has written a new web publication for the website James Ensor: An online museum, an initiative of the Flemish Art Collection. The Flemish Art Collection is the collaborative association of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, Antwerp (KMSKA), the Museum of Fine Arts, Ghent (MSK, Ghent) and the Groeninge Museum in Bruges.

Tricot investigates the influence of the Old Masters on the works of James Ensor. By means of using concrete examples, the author shows that Ensor was influenced by a range of diverse artists: from Jan van Eyck to William Turner.
